At THE S.O.A.P. — Thriving, Healing, Empowering Seeds of Addicted Parents, we understand that substance use affects more than the individual. Its impact reaches children, families, caregivers, and communities.
While treatment and recovery services support individuals experiencing substance use disorder, children and loved ones often carry experiences of their own—addiction, overdose, separation, grief, instability, and community substance use. They deserve support, too.
Supporting Children. Strengthening Families. Healing Communities
THE S.O.A.P. creates population-specific spaces for children and youth impacted by parental, family, or community substance use while supporting the families and caregivers surrounding them.
Through peer support, family engagement, enrichment, life skills, overdose education, therapeutic connections, advocacy, workforce development, and community experiences, we create opportunities for healing, connection, and growth.
And we believe healing doesn't always have to feel heavy.
Sometimes it looks like having an honest conversation with peers who understand. Other times, it's cooking together, creating art, making music, taking a trip, learning a new skill, celebrating a milestone, or simply giving a child, parent, and caregiver an opportunity to laugh and create a new memory together.
